Enrollment Information for Students New to Winnetka

Winnetka Avenue Elementary is now accepting applications for the school year. Applications can be found online at, https://enroll.lausd.net/ or in the main office.

If you live in Winnetka's attendance area and your child will be four years old on or before September 1, 2023, you may enroll your child for Universal Transitional Kindergarten at Winnetka Avenue School. To check if you belong to our school, check the Resident School Identifier, https://rsi.lausd.net/ResidentSchoolIdentifier/ 

Roughly our area is bounded on the east by Corbin Avenue and on the west by Oso Avenue. Our northern boundary is Plummer Street. Our southern boundary varies. West of Oakdale, the southern boundary is Saticoy. East of Oakdale, the southern boundary is Arminta Street. If you are still unsure after checking in the above link, you may call the main office for assistance. 

You will need to bring the following documents to enroll:

  • Proof of age
    • original Birth Certificate or Baptismal Certificate
  • Proof of address
    • Most Recent utility bill such as Gas, Water & Power, Rental/Lease Agreement, or official government mail (such as Medi-Cal, IRS, etc.)
  • Immunization records 
    • 5 DTP
    • 4 Polio
    • 3 Hep. B
    • 2 MMR
    • 2 Varicella 
  • Valid Identification Parent/Guardian
  • Physical & Dental Exam.
